The time has finally come to share the patterns that will be used in the first month of our sew along 😁 This month we'll be sewing for Ruby Red Fashion Friends. There's only three patterns this month because the pattern by Luminaria Designs will be split into two parts due to it being a dress and a petticoat. I chose these patterns because they're easy for a beginner to grow their skills and can be embellished for seamstresses with more experience. August 7th Sew Along
We'll start our sew along off with this simple dress design by Favorite Dress. It has minimal steps making it a great pattern for a beginner. The lace trim on the skirt can be omitted if you're not comfortable at this stage to attempt it, but I think you'll be surprised at how easy it is to achieve this look.

August 14th Sew Along Part 1
Our next sew along will be split into two parts. This week we'll work on the under dress. We'll be using the Countryside Girl for Ruby Red pattern designed by Luminaria Designs. I've made several of these dresses for Siblies dolls and you're not going to believe how easy they are to make

August 21st Sew Along Part 2
This week we'll be working on the petticoat in Luminaria Design's Countryside Girl Pattern (seen above). I admit, this pattern can become somewhat obsessive, there's just so many pattern variations to try.

- Alternative way to attach a ruffle
- Adding lace time
- Sewing eyelets (for ribbon ties)

August 28th Sew Along
Our last sew along for this month will be another dress by Favorite Dress. This is one of the sweetest dresses I've seen. This dress has lace trim gathered sleeve cuffs, lacy ruffles on the hem and a lace trimmed flounce. With a little patience I believe anyone could make this beautiful little dress.
