I can't believe it's almost the end of July! This definitely hasn't been a very productive month for me. Truth be told, I often find July to be depressing, not only is it my Birthday month but also our Wedding Anniversary, which both go completely unnoticed. What does a girl do when everyone forgets about her, she goes shopping! In honour of both occasions I purchased a bunch of Pemberley Threads patterns and ordered some lawn fabric from the UK and some twill tape. Happy Birthaversary to me! LOL
I had decided to challenge myself to make all of Pemberley Threads Doll Dress about two weeks ago, which was inspired by my birthaversary shopping spree. However, I've only gotten two Molly dresses and three sets of the Anne outfit completed thus far. Self pity aside, there's been many factors working against my Pemberley Threads challenge - it's been way to hot (36°C is not acceptable weather in the North lol) to do anything, Due to Covid, our county, as of July 24 will become face mask mandatory. So I upped my face mask making game. I currently have over 80 face masks cut for ladies, girls and dolls. I'm hoping to have them in the shop by the end of the month.
My biggest creative dilemma is the complete lack of organization and the huge disaster zone that my crafting area has become. I admit that I'm not the tidiest crafter, but is there truly a crafter that doesn't have supplies from one end of their house to the other? There's just so much stuff! So I've finally made the decision to start purging craft supplies. Sometime over the next week, I'll be opening another Etsy store to sell all my extra crafting supplies an sewing patterns that I no longer want or need.
My plans for this week are as follows:
- Purge Craft Supplies
- Finish Face Masks
- Open New Shop
- Customize Molly Doll
What are your crafting plans for this week?
